Therapist

Hello, my name is Annette Schindler and I am a trained relationship and sexual therapist. I was born in the fall of 1980 and have been living in Berlin since 2003. In 2017, I successfully finished my training as a naturopath of psychology and further trained at the “Institut für Beziehungsdynamik” (Institute for relationship dynamics) in Berlin as a relationship and sex therapist for 2 more years. My work, my career and my relationships are heavily influences by my own ADHD diagnosis (currently suspected is a combination of ADHD and autism), with which I not only had to learn to cope with, but also how I might be able to integrate it into my therapeutical work. Processing subjects like breaking things off with my own family, followed later by burn out with alcohol abuse, prompted my interest in therapeutical work. That’s how I started my education in the fields of therapeutical work. After 5 years experience working as a relationship and sexual therapist it became more and more clear to me, how important neurodivers therapists are for neurodivers people. One of my most defining traits is my curiosity. I read a lot and combine my knowledge in the most diverse and creative ways I can imagine. I would consider my attentive nature, my empathetic character, and my critical view the most important tools of my therapeutic work. After studying community healing, I am currently approaching the question of healing within solitude. I am living on my own as a single mother in Berlin Neukölln.
